Gangways

Fender Service offers quality gangways manufactured in seawater-resistant aluminium.

The aluminium means the gangways are easy to handle due to their low weight, while at the same time being very sturdy.

 

Fender Services offers 3 types of gangways:

  • SHALA (Shallow Angle Lightweight Aluminium Gangway)

  • Sala (Steep Angle Lightweight Aluminium Gangway)

  • Shore gangways (Non-jointed gangways) 

SHALA

SHALA (Shallow Angle Lightweight Aluminium Gangway) comes with a walk-surface with angled steps in non-skid trade plates provding a safe working angles up to 30°. The gangway is supplied with loose stanchions and hand ropes,  Gangways are mounted with a 2” hook to fit on bullwark, and strong plastic wheels in the end towards the quay. 

The gangways are suitable for Angles 0-30 degrees and for lengths 1.5m to 12.0m

 

  • 600mm clear width

  • Design Deck Loading 4kN/M² (Pedestrian access)

  • Aluminium Sections Marine Grade 6082-T6

  • Aluminium Plates Marine Grade 6082-T6 or 5083-0 for light plates

  • Pins, Axles & Fasteners 316 stainless steel

  • Handrails: Polypropylene rope or Solid handrails

  • Anti-slip walking surface

  • Lifting & Lashing Lugs

SALA

Sala (Steep Angle Lightweight Aluminium Gangway) are for easy ship-shore access with standard ship hook and jetty roller. These types of gangways are suitable for Angles 0-50 degrees and for lengths 1.5m to 12.0m

Shore Gangways

Shore gangways (Non-jointed gangways) are long range, steep 0-50 degrees working angle, aluminium gangways for easy ship-shore access with standard ship hook and jetty roller. These types of gangways are suitable for lengths 12m to 27m.

 

  • Manufactured in accordance with ISO 7061

  • Manufactured from Marine Grade Lightweight Aluminium 6082 T6

  • 600mm clear width

  • 12m to 30m length options (DNV-GL Type approved up to 27m)

  • Anti-slip surface.

  • 0° to 50° working angle options

  • Solid handrail

  • Standard Ship Hook & Quay Roller

  • Self-Locking Stanchions and polypropylene rope hand rail & half-height

  • Lifting & Lashing Lugs.

Included certificates

  • Gangways are type approved by DNV-GL to ISO 7061 in accordance with IMO MSC.1/CIRC. 1331

  • Factory issued load test
