Pneumatic fenders consist of an inner and outer rubber layer that is vulcanized and compounded with cover netting for additional protection.
Foam fenders are made from a closed-cell foam core, and are used as an alternative to pneumatic fenders.
The term fixed fenders covers several different types of fenders, such as D-fenders and cone fenders.
These are used for fixed installations for ports or ships.
